As part of my GWIM Project – I really enjoyed doing this last year. Most of you won’t know but I also made a live reaction video that resulted in my 1^st ever Copyright Strike on YouTube so I won’t be doing that again!! I correctly predicted 5/13 which I was very happy with, considering that just 1 year earlier I had never even heard of any of the nominees! Let’s see if I can beat ‘2025-Kev’.

There are also a few awards that are prior to the ceremony. The “Outstanding Contribution” award has gone to Mark Ronson. Seems fair. PinkPantheress has been award “Producer of the Tear”. “Critics Choice” has gone to Jacob Alon.  “Songwriter of the Year” has already been awarded to Noel Gallagher which somehow makes complete sense and no sense at the same times. Arguably no collection of songs by a single song-writer have been more relevant/popular than that of Noel Gallagher this past year. On the other hand, by his own admission, he has not written a single song this past year.

Last year there were various appeals from artists who won awards for actions to be taken to save the apparent impending death of the live music scene, and indeed new music in general. This very much continued this year. A guest appearance from the legendary Bǰörk during Rosalîa’s performance great to see and a surprise appearance from Dua Lipa during a Mark Ronson medley was very welcome. Olivia Dean deservedly took the most awards with 4.

I correctly predicted 7/13. 2 better than last year. The obvious conclusion is my GWIM Project IS working.
